Support the short film "Some Enchanted Evening"

"Some Enchanted Evening" is the third film by Writer and Director Ian Welfley, produced by Matt Wixted.

Synopsis:

A psychotic high schooler breaks into his crush's home on Valentine’s Day and forces her to have a romantic dinner with him -- a dinner that will leave none of its guests unscathed...

Crowdfunding Campaign:

The donations from this campaign will go towards paying the crew, cast, and rental equipment for four filming days in Los Angeles. A goal for "Some Enchanted Evening" is to develop this short film into a feature film. We strive to have this film developed by a streaming service or studio.

Note from the Writer/ Director:

I decided to step outside my comfort zone and write Some Enchanted Evening, a short horror film about a community of lonely men all of us have heard about in the news - incels. Some Enchanted Evening showcases the deluded world of a psychotic, lovestruck teenager who will do anything to live out his fantasy of dating a pretty cheerleader from school. Touching upon themes of bullying and youthful alienation, this film will examine the dark side of young love, as well as the violent consequences of obsession.”

Note from the Producer:

I reached out to Ian about producing one of his films and the script he sent me was so captivating, I could not put the script down, cliché but true. The story has a rhythm and the characters have their own distinct voices. I have always had a passion for story driven films. Something to sit and make you think about, something to talk about with others. "Some Enchanted Evening" is that film. As my dad always says "If you're going to do something, do it right the first time." that's what we are trying to do with this film.
