Support the Slater Family After the Eaton Fire

Our friend Erica, her parents and her brother have lost their family home in the devastating Eaton Canyon fire in the Altadena neighborhood of Los Angeles. Altadena is a historically black enclave adjacent to Pasadena in east Los Angeles and the Slaters have been residents and community members in this diverse suburban haven for decades, opening their 120 year old home to friends and family alike with warmth and love that we have personally witnessed many times over since our high school years.

While Erica and her family were thankfully able to evacuate safely, they did not have time to grab anything but their IDs and a single album of wedding photos. They will have to fully start over. Erica's parents will have to face the remainder of their retirement years with this life changing uncertainty ahead of them. Nonetheless they are determined to move forward.

The Slaters are still processing this shock but we wanted to put this fundraiser together on their behalf to provide them any support we can. Please consider donating any amount, small or large, to help. Thank you and please stay safe. - Kylie & Gina
