Support the Springer Family - Hayden, Emma & Sage

Donation protected
In January of 2020, Hayden and Emma found out they were expecting their first child.  In June they were excited to learn they were expecting a little girl, but slowly began learning that their daughter had significant health problems, including severe heart defects.  After weeks of testing, they received a prenatal diagnosis of Trisomy 18, or Edwards' Syndrome, a genetic abnormality in which there are three copies of the 18th chromosome instead of two.  Based on her Trisomy 18 diagnosis, Hayden and Emma were told their daughter was not a candidate for heart repair.  They were told their daughter, who they decided to name Sage Elyse, would pass away 24-72 hours after birth.  Many people prayed hard for Sage and on October 1, 2020 Sage was born.   Having experienced a miracle in the delivery room, 72 hours came and went and Sage persisted, getting stronger and bigger each day.  Despite gaining weight and thriving, surgeons continued to say she was not considered a candidate and that she needed to "show she's a survivor" before she would be considered.  Seeing how strong their little one was but knowing they didn't have time to waste, Hayden and Emma began seeking second opinions and asking God to open doors.  They found a facility in another city that was willing to operate on Trisomy 18 babies.  They were given a surgical date, then later that day they were told it was cancelled due to Covid.  Hayden, Emma and an army of prayer warriors continued to ask God to make a way, and just the next morning were told their surgery was back on!  God made a way!  On 1-7-21 Sage Elyse will undergo open heart surgery to do a complete repair of her heart.  Emma had to take an unpaid personal leave from work and Hayden has had to take significant time away from his career playing professional golf in order to advocate for their daughter and spend quality time with her, knowing that their time may be limited.  The GoFundMe will go towards medical bills for Sage's surgery and ICU stay as well as their cost of living in a different city while unable to work.
Thank you so much to anyone who feels led to donate.  It will give Hayden and Emma more resources to continue to pursue the absolute best care for their daughter.
