Support The Staff @ Clubhouse Jager
Donation protected
UPDATE 8/30 8:05 pm: Will close fund raising in 3 hours. Have confirmed three staff members who have left Jager in the last day due to the DeRoma/Duke news, including Andrea Kingston. Funds will be divided equally among them. The withdrawal plan is to send directly to her bank account and she will record equal disbursement to the rest.
UPDATE 8/29 11:04 pm: Have spoken at length to one of the bartenders at Jager (Andrea Kingston) who quit today. Her statement is below (posted publicly to FB). She will be one of the beneficiaries and will help disperse funds to others who have left Jager since the news broke. Funds will be raised for 24 more hours and then dispersed among those exiting staff as they seek new jobs. Thanks!
"It has come to light in today's article in the City Pages, that the owner of Club Jager, (the place I've proudly been working at, with beloved, amazing coworkers) Julius DeRoma donated money to David Duke, the kkk, white supremacist. I do not condone and am staunchly opposed to his vile actions and his ideologies. The staff at Jager is a beautiful, diverse group of amazing individuals. None of us knew about Julius' efforts to advance the works of hate and it's rhetoric. We are people who simply wanted to earn a living and Jager was an amazing place to work. Our regular customers are some excellent people, who's names I won't soon forget! The management and staff made that place what it is today, completely separate from Julius( who was never there). My heart breaks for our displaced staff and entertainers and for the loss of what was created and maintained. With this all happening, I will no longer be working at Club Jager."

On 8/29, this story revealed Julius Jaeger De Roma, the owner of one of Minneapolis's most beloved bars, supported KKK grand wizard David Duke's campaign for senate.
Some staff members at Clubhouse Jaeger have left as a choice to stand against the owner's racist ideals. Resident DJs have canceled their nights and will fill dancefloors elsewhere.
It is yet to be determined what will happen to Jaeger, but the future is not bright.
The Jager staff have lovingly served the neighborhood for years. They are the people who will be affected by the fallout of this news and actions of one individual. Let's show them that we care and help pad their job search.
All funds will be divided equally among staff who have left Jager 8/29-8/30. Consider it a tip in memoriam for their services over the years.
