Dear friends, family, and our Cape Coral community,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of a devastating fire that has destroyed The Boathouse. This wasn’t just a place to eat; it was our gathering spot, our sunset haven, and the heart of our community—a place where memories were made, laughter echoed, and friendships blossomed over great food and breathtaking views.

After everything we have faced together, this is yet another tragic blow for our beloved establishment and, more importantly, for the dedicated staff who have become a family to us all.

Since Hurricane Ian tore through our community, The Boathouse has fought tirelessly to rebuild and reopen our doors. We celebrated a triumphant reopening in July 2023, only to be met with more challenges from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Our staff has been the backbone of The Boathouse, creating the welcoming atmosphere we all love and providing a little slice of paradise for everyone who walked through our doors. Tragically, on the day we reopened, we faced even more heartache with the loss of our beloved tiki bar. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but our hearts are broken.

Now, as we grapple with this loss, our devoted staff is left without jobs and the stability they’ve fought so hard to regain. They have poured their hearts into this place, forging memories and supporting one another and our community through thick and thin.

We are launching this GoFundMe to support the Boathouse employees during this incredibly difficult time. Every dollar raised will go directly to help those impacted, ensuring they have the resources to navigate this unexpected challenge.
