Support the Starr Family during Ethans Hip Surgery Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
One week ago, Ethan broke his right hip after being thrown from a one-wheel in a freak accident. He was taken by ambulance to a trauma hospital in Phoenix where they performed a complicated hip surgery. He was in the hospital for 5 days and was able to come home this past Wednesday. He is now home recovering with his wife, Sarah, and baby, Layla.
Normally, a fall of this kind wouldn’t have resulted in a hip fracture. He is a healthy and active 22-year-old. The doctors were shocked and said, “22-year-olds don’t break their hips.”
Two weeks prior to the injury, Ethan, Sarah, and Layla moved in with his parents to start saving money to buy their own home. Ethan works very hard to support his family and was working towards his general contractor’s license. Needless to say, this is all put on hold now.
Ethan will be out of work for 4-6 months and possibly longer. His employer does not provide short-term disability and there is no state financial aid for this situation. Their insurance is covering most of his medical bills, but they will need financial help for day-to-day expenses: groceries, diapers, gas, car insurance, and other necessities.
Many have asked us how they can support them during this difficult season and this long recovery for Ethan. If God leads you to give, they would appreciate any kind of monetary donation, gift cards for gas and groceries, and your love and prayers.
This would be a huge blessing for them!
Thank you,
Robert and Norma Starr
