On Thursday January 23rd, Riley Stobbe was in a horrible logging accident. He was rushed to Tillsonburg hospital and then transferred to Victoria Hospital in London, where he currently is. Riley has a fractured skull, most of the bones in his face are broken or fractured, his jaw is broken, and his eyes are swollen shut. The surgeons assure us that this is all fixable, thank you God! Riley will be having a 6-10 hour surgery on Wednesday January 29th to reconstruct his face.
Riley is one of the most hardworking, selfless and generous people you will ever meet. He gives and helps others with a cheerful heart and never expects anything in return. Riley is an incredible husband, dad, uncle, and friend and we are so thankful that we will have many more adventures with him.
The surgeons are confident that Riley will make a complete recovery, and he has already shocked them all with his strength and memory. Riley will be in the hospital for at least a week or two after his surgery, and then will be home recovering and off of work for an unknown amount of time.
The road to recovery will be long and we want to offer Riley, Hayley and their three children prayers and support as they go through this challenging time. Your support will help cover the cost of traveling to and from the hospital, food, and help lift the burden of financial uncertainty as Riley is recovering.
Thank you so much for your prayers, messages and love for the family during this time.
With love and appreciation,
