Support Sumah's West African Restaurant
Donation protected
Sumah's West African Restaurant is a long-standing, loving business establishment in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It has been a staple in the DC community for over 20 years.
On Wednesday, November 28th, 2018, a fire broke out and burned the restaurant down. It is by the grace of God that everyone got out alive and the firefighters were able to put out the blaze. While the physical establishment burned down, the love of Mr. and Mrs. Sumah, their family and friends, still stands.
This is a time where we as their community family should stand up, support them and help them rebuild! They share so much love and kindness to others that heals the soul through their food! It is rare to find people who genuinely love to help & bless others simply through their craft of food.
There are people from diverse cultures and backgrounds who visit the restaurant to speak with the Sumah Family and they always have a smile on their face and stories to share. Let's step in and give them back the same love they give us!
So on behalf of the Sumah Family, we are asking you to donate what you can to help the Sumah Family during this difficult time. This is a time to show love, hope, and care to people who have given so much to the community by just being there!
