Support the Tackett Family

As a family, we’ve exhausted all our possible resources, and this is our last resort. My name is Alicia Tackett, and I come from a family of 8, with a little one on the way. We’re from eastern Kentucky, which has been heavily impacted with severe flooding. We were apart of the unfortunate ones, watching our livelihood wash away and losing everything we’ve worked so hard to build together as a family. Our home is completely destroyed and unlivable, so our family has been split apart living in different locations because nowhere is big enough. We thought we had financial resources to cover our losses, and we could rebuild everything we had, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. Our home insurance, FEMA, and our own finances could not cover the damages. We couldn’t be more tight on money, with my mom unable to work due to complications with her pregnancy and losing our vehicle because our car insurance refuses to cover a transmission. I myself start nursing school in 15 days, and all of my younger siblings begin classes very soon. Replacing basic necessities, baby items, my nursing school equipment, and other school supplies hasn’t been cheap. We cannot afford to cover what is owed on our home. All we’re asking is enough money to cover our debts on our home, so we can purchase a new home for our growing family.
