Nataly’s mother and brother escaped safely but with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Her mother is beyond heartbroken, having now lost not only her husband a few years ago but also the home they built together.

While we hear about celebrities who’ve lost their homes to these devastating fires, the true toll is felt most deeply by working-class families, like Nataly’s.
