It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of Teresa Tighe, who died unexpectedly due to a “Widowmaker” heart attack—a type of heart attack caused by a 100% blockage in the main artery of the heart. This condition often strikes without warning and is as serious as its name suggests. Teresa was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and a pillar of our community — someone whose warmth, strength, and dedication touched everyone she met.

She leaves behind her husband Pat, her son Owen, her stepson Darren, and her mother Angie. The Tighe family has always been a source of strength and service in our town. Teresa devoted her career to the Hillsborough Public Schools, where she made a lasting impact on students and families. Pat has long served a community through his volunteer work as an EMT. Owen is a junior firefighter soon to be a full firefighter and is planning to go to college for law enforcement.

This fundraiser is to help support the Tighe family during this incredibly difficult time. The funds will go toward funeral expenses, household needs, and provide some relief as they grieve and begin to heal.

Whether you knew Teresa from school, through the fire department, or simply as a neighbor and friend, you knew her kindness, her strength, and her unwavering commitment to others. Let’s honor her memory by supporting the family she loved so deeply.
