Support the Walker-Hanning family

Friends of Katie Hanning and Todd Walker have come together to start this Go Fund Me in order to support Katie and their daughters, Clare, Lillian and Jade, as they navigate the loss of their beloved husband and father, Todd. He unexpectedly passed away on August 31, 2023. Katie is facing financial hardships with end of life expenses and the loss of a second income. Our goal is to collectively support Katie and the kids to remove the financial stress of this tragic event, considering she is processing the loss of her life partner.

Katie and Todd are a well known and respected family who have lived in the Black Mountain area for over 20 years. They have been involved in many local area schools with their children including the local Montessori school, the local public schools and Evergreen charter school in Asheville. Todd was a practicing acupuncturist at Asheville Community Acupuncture for the last 15 years and was a dedicated, gentle and gifted healer. He treated countless patients over the year. Many people may know them from their work at Source for Well-being in Black Mountain. Most recently Todd had gone back to school and Katie was working with Brother Wolf in Asheville. They have touched so many lives in service to others over the years, and now they need help from their community.

We ask you to dig deep and give generously to support this lovely family. A collective show of support as they redefine their way forward without their guiding light.
