Support the Walkers After Devastating Fire Took Their Home
Donation protected
The Walker family has been a cherished part of the Altadena community for generations. Since 1969, their home has been a place of warmth, love, and countless memories—a gathering spot for family and friends, and a haven for the entire community.
This past Tuesday, despite not being in a mandatory evacuation zone, myself (Diarra) and my beloved grandmother, Lois (or Nana, as everyone knows her), made the difficult decision to leave due to widespread power outages. We thought it would only be a brief departure, grabbing only a few essentials, with plans to return home soon.
Tragically, we never got that chance. By the time my sister Dominyque and I arrived, our cherished family home was consumed by flames. We've lost everything we've known and loved, including Lois' car.
If you are able, we humbly ask for your support to help us through this challenging time. Whether through a donation or by sharing our story, any contribution will be deeply appreciated to help with the many aspects of recovery not met by insurance and support our family through this crisis.
Diarra and Nana are incredibly grateful that God kept them safe, and though they are navigating the devastation, they are holding onto faith as they move forward.
Please keep the Walker family, and all the families in Altadena, in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time. ❤️
