It's hard to believe that five years have passed since we lost Rojyan. I am not going to lie, it has not been easy and there is not a day that goes by where we (Joey, Eric, Clare) don’t think about him and miss him terribly. There have been countless challenges, but I am proud of us and the way we have overcome them and faced the future.

Apart from being a wonderful husband and Dad, Royjan was a remarkable individual whose passion and dedication to the Watamu Snake Farm was inspirational. I know that both he and James and Sanda Ashe would be so happy and proud to see how the Snake Farm has thrived over the last five years.

To celebrate their memories and in particular this milestone anniversary, I am reaching out to you, our valued supporters and fellow herpetology enthusiasts, to help us to raise the funds to improve the Watamu Snake Farm. Recent storms took their toll on one of the snake houses and it has had to be completely demolished and rebuilt. We have taken the opportunity to improve the snake enclosures which will have a positive effect on the welfare of the reptiles and the experience of our guests. At the same time we are going to give the entrance to the farm a much needed facelift.

The Watamu Snake Farm plays a crucial role in responding to snake-related emergencies, reptile conservation work, and educating communities about snakebite prevention and important firstaid. Your support will not only help us to maintain these critical operations but also to elevate our capabilities and impact.Together, we can honour Rojyan and James Ashe’s legacy and ensure that their vision for the farm continues to flourish.
