Support the wellbeing of children at Eco Farm Home in Nepal!

Hi there my name is Louise,

In April 2024, I went to Nepal and volunteered at Eco Home & Farm in Nepal, just outside of Kathmandu.

Eco Home & Farm in Nepal, led by Mission Himalaya, is a sustainable, eco-friendly orphanage in Sankhu, a rural area east of Kathmandu. It provides a nurturing environment for orphaned and vulnerable children, offering housing, education, and healthcare. The facility includes organic farming, which supplies food for residents and instills agricultural skills in the children.

When staying there for 5 days, with my friend Victoria, we noticed how the team at Eco Home takes good care of the 32 children living there. From 6 to 18, children are given a safe, eco-friendly place to live and study for school. The children are so polite, respectful, rigorous and kind, we learned so much from there. Eco Home is a beautiful home with an organic garden, chickens, and goats, all taken care by the team and children.

Today, with my friends, we are going to run the Angkor Wat Half Marathon. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to support Mission Himalaya and Eco Farm Home, to ensure the children have their school supplies, clothes and toys and games.

En avril 2024, je suis allée au Népal et j'ai fait du bénévolat à Eco Home & Farm, près de Katmandou.

Eco Home & Farm, dirigé par Mission Himalaya, est un orphelinat durable et écologique situé à Sankhu, une région rurale à l’est de Katmandou. Il offre un environnement bienveillant aux enfants orphelins et vulnérables, avec logement, éducation et soins de santé. La ferme biologique fournit de la nourriture et enseigne des compétences agricoles aux enfants.

En y séjournant cinq jours avec mon amie Victoria, nous avons vu à quel point l’équipe prend soin des 32 enfants, âgés de 6 à 18 ans, en leur offrant un espace sûr et écologique pour vivre et étudier. Ces enfants, si polis, respectueux et bienveillants, nous ont beaucoup appris. Eco Home est une belle maison avec un jardin biologique, des poules et des chèvres, tous pris en charge par l’équipe et les enfants.

Aujourd'hui, avec mes amis, nous allons courir le semi-marathon d'Angkor Wat pour soutenir Mission Himalaya et Eco Farm Home, afin de garantir aux enfants des fournitures scolaires, des vêtements et des jeux.
