Facing Adversity with Resilience: The Wenger Family's Story
On July 5, 2023, an explosion at the Rapho Township municipal building dramatically impacted Neil, Jamie, and their four children, ages 18, 16, and 14-year-old twins. Their home sustained significant damage from the blast, shattering nearly all windows and doors. Despite waking up amidst shards of glass, thankfully, no one was injured.
The Challenge of Recovery
Since the explosion, the Wengers have been residing in a nearby rental home, adapting to a new temporary normal. Their journey towards recovery has been slow-moving and challenging. Despite nearly six months of negotiations with their insurance company, the decision to repair or rebuild their home is still up in the air. Even with 'full replacement cost' coverage, the current insurance offer is significantly less than what is required to address their situation. In response, the Wengers have engaged a professional private adjuster for representation. Amid these challenges, they are preparing for an extended period away from their home.
A Call for Community Support
As professional fees for adjuster representation and engineering assessments mount, the financial impact of this incident continues to grow. Our goal is to raise $75,000 to help defray costs not eligible for insurance reimbursement.
Your Contribution Makes a Difference
Your generosity, regardless of the amount, is appreciated. We are grateful for your prayer and financial support, as are Neil, Jamie, and their children. Thank you for considering a donation and for sharing with your network.
