Support The West Ottawa Music Program

The West Ottawa High School Percussion Students have an amazing, unique and rare opportunity to have a world-renowned composer, Dr. David Gillingham, write an original percussion piece for our Symphony Band percussionists. The typical waiting list for a commission by Dr. David Gillingham is up to 3years! However, the West Ottawa Percussion Instructor, Sue Gainforth, was able to secure this service immediately. The commissioned piece will be premiered at the West Ottawa Percussion Concert in the 2024-2025 school year. This unique opportunity will provide our students with an amazing experience, as well as recognition in the dedication of the specially commissioned piece. The dedication will be printed on the front page of every purchased copy of the commissioned music allowing West Ottawa Percussion Students to be recognized around the world. Our students deserve this recognition!

To make this experience a reality for our students, we must rely on donations from students, parents, family, friends, and West Ottawa Music program alumni to spread the love to benefit our current percussion students. We need to raise $3500 initially to secure the commission, followed by another $3500 for Dr. Gillingham to complete the process (a total of $7,000). Please consider contributing to the commission for our West Ottawa Percussion Students by Dr. David Gillingham to make our student's dreams a reality!
