Support the Wife & Children of a Murdered Husband

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Vena Williams and I’m creating this Go-Fund-Me for my little sister Cheree Munn-Irizarry and her children.

After losing her husband to a senseless murder in their home, Cheree finds herself having to pick up the broken pieces of her life.
After witnessing him take his last breath she has not been able to do much of anything, including work.

So I’m asking anyone who is willing, to please donate if you can. Whatever you can give to support her and her family will be greatly appreciated.

Here is a little bit of their story.

My sister has always held her own and taken care of her family without wavering. She worked full time as a patient assistant at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital and also loved to decorate and paint. As a teenager that girl would change her room around at least once a week. Ok, maybe not that often but it sure felt like it because she did it so much.

Cheree had a nack for decorating. She got it from our Mom who would decorate our home so beautifully on ALL occasions. Once, after painting and redecorating her own home, Cheree took pictures and shared the transformation on Facebook and before long people were asking her to decorate and paint their home. Just like that, without even trying, she had started a side business.

Cheree met Tone in 2006 and they dated briefly. By his own admission Tone wasn’t ready to be in a committed relationship. He noticed that she was a “good girl” and said he didn’t want to hurt her so they went their separate ways. Tone found Cheree again in 2019, while scrolling on social media. Tone admitted that he had been looking for her for a while and was ecstatic to have found her.
They began dating again and boy were the inseparable. My sister was the happiest I had ever seen her in my life! From the very beginning of their rekindled courtship Tone was smitten with Cheree. He already knew what she was about and early on wanted her to be his wife.
Cheree, however, would be careful not to agree right away.

 Wait, wait, wait…

Yes, Tone checked ✅ALL the boxes for her but Cheree wanted them to take their time. Due to failed relationships in both of their pasts, she wanted them to be absolutely certain that they were ready. After all, marriage is a BIG step and a HUGE responsibility.

Although she didn’t agree to marriage right away, Cheree never let a moment go by without letting Tone know how much she loved and adored him … and believe me anybody who knows her, knows that Cheree Munn was HEAD-OVER-HILLS in Love with Anthony “Tone” Irizarry.

Cheree had a daughter, Makayla, when she and Tone started dating again. Tone embraced Makayla as his own as did Cheree with Tone’s two children, Nevaeh and Anthony.

Nevaeh and Anthony loved Cheree. They knew that she was not only good to their Dad but good for their Dad. Cheree made it her business to include them in everything she and Tone did. Birthdays, and holidays were especially important to Cheree so she would decorate their home so beautifully to match whatever season they were in and would arrange a photo shoot to capture those precious moments.
Being raised in a loving, blended family herself, Cheree knew the importance of including the kids and making them feel welcome at ALL times. Cheree took Nevaeh and Anthony as her own and making memories as a family was of the utmost importance to her.

Makayla loved Tone and everything he did was magnificent in her eyes. She would eventually call him “Daddy”. To her he embodied everything she wanted in a father as he had become a constant source of strength, love and protection that Makayla ever so needed.

 Tone was her safety net.

In fact, on their morning rides to drop her off at school, Makayla would share with Tone how she always felt safe with him. In Makayla’s eyes her “Daddy” could do no wrong, and without a doubt he loved her just as much as she loved him. Even in his final moments, as you will read later, that source of strength, love and protection Makayla came to know so well, stood up again.

Tone’s sister and I were co-workers before he and Cheree began dating again. Diana and I had a beautiful work friendship and when we found out that our siblings were dating we were ecstatic. Although sometimes she and I would have to be the referee between the two of them. Cheree and Tone had their share of challenges but what relationship doesn’t? They knew what they had in “Each Other” and fought to keep it. Neither one of them wanted to lose that.
I will never forget a conversation Diana and I had about her brother. She told me that she had NEVER seen her brother like this before. She KNEW without a shadow of a doubt, that Cheree was the one for Tone. She said, he had become a different person! A better person. Not only for himself but for his children and family as well. Diana strongly believed that as a result of his relationship with Cheree, Tone wanted a better life and he began to work at it. She said, “Vena, something about him changed when he met Cheree”, and their family LOVED her for him.

In their third year of dating and as their relationship grew stronger, they got the news they had been hoping for.

Cheree and Tone were expecting!

This changed their lives. Cheree would eventually have to stop working because her pregnancies were extremely high risk. She became a stay at home Mom but that was right up Tone’s alley. He wanted to take care of her and their family just as his father had taken great care of his mother and siblings. This was difficult for Cheree at first because she was so used to working but she understood it was for the best. As she expected their new bundle of joy, Cheree filled their home with lots and lots of LOVE and decorations and more LOVE. She gave birth to their son, Lorenzo in January 2022.

After “Putting Her Love On Top” Cheree finally said, YES! She agreed to marry Tone and they made it official on Valentines Day. They were married in March, 2023 in a private ceremony at City Hall. They celebrated that union with family and close friends with a reception in June, 2023.
Sadly, after leaving one of his three businesses, on the late evening of August 10, 2023, Tone was robbed and fatally shot during a home invasion as he protected his family from intruder(s).

It would later be revealed that Tone’s car had been tagged and he was being followed. The would be murderer, would follow Tone home and wait for him to enter his home, where his wife and children were sleeping, and rob him and take his life.

911 was called. Cheree didn’t realize she saw her husband take his last breath. She had HOPE that they would save him. After working on him for some time, Tone was taken to the hospital where he would later be pronounced dead on Friday, August 11, 2023.

His Family Will Never Be The Same.
