Support the Woldeselasies

After a heroic battle against pancreatic cancer, Eyob Woldeselasie passed away at the young age of 47 - far too soon for such a wonderful human being to leave this earth. Eyob leaves behind the love of his life, Rachel, whom he was with for over half his life. They would have celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary next month. Eyob also leaves behind the light of his life, his 7 year old son, Micah, who was his “mini me.”

Eyob immigrated from East Africa with his family to the US when he was a teenager. He immediately formed lifelong friendships that felt like an extended family. Eyob was known as the greatest confidante and the most loyal and kind friend for those who had the great privilege of being a part of his life. He had an infectious laugh that we will never forget and maintained his great sense of humor until the very end.

Rachel's family also immigrated to the US where Rachel was born. Rachel and Eyob were proud of their mutual professional accomplishments and made a great life for themselves. They were ecstatic to become parents to Micah, known for being as sweet and endearing as his father.

Rachel spent the past year by Eyob's side - taking care of his every need, banging down doors to get him the best medical care and seeking all possible treatments for her beloved husband. She balanced this with work and going above and beyond to ensure that Micah continued to lead a whimsical childhood (as only the Superwoman Rachel can do). And now, as Rachel and Micah begin their healing journey, please join me in supporting them.
