Support the work of Third Queer Culture
Third Queer Culture (TQC) is a peer social group for LGBTIQ+ people from diverse backgrounds who have an experience of seeking safety in Australia. As well as building social connection between members, TQC engages in creative advocacy to encourage expression of a third culture that embraces ‘queerness’ and cultural pride. All of our members are treated with respect and privacy.
The money you give will help us with providing more events for our group members to be able to come together, funding to support our peer leaders with managing our growing community and build the groups outreach to the community. These social peer group activities fosters stronger connection to reduce the isolation many experience in the first years of living in Brisbane, and helps us share insights across the community sector to encourage the creation of warm, inclusive and welcoming services.
QPASTT support TQC who are an independent group auspiced by QPASTT. QPASTT is a specialist, state wide mental health and rehabilitation charity supporting survivors of torture and refugee trauma, including people who are seeking asylum. All fund received will go directly to support the work and activities of TQC. Take a look at Third Queer Culture’s website if you would like to learn more about us.
