On October 17th, 2024, our beautiful Angelica Yarmak was tragically struck by a car while riding her motorcycle. She was only 17. She passed away on impact.
on Dinsmore St / E PRICE BLVD in North Port, Florida
Angelica was not at fault. The driver of the vehicle that struck them turned into ongoing traffic and hit the motorcycle.
Angelica will always be remembered for her warm presence and kind smile. She was truly one of a kind. She was a role model to all and someone to be admired. She loved the Lord, and we know that she is in heaven now.
Her younger sister, Alina Yarmak, 14, was riding with her as a passenger. She sustained life-threatening injuries. They were both lifted by helicopter to a Children's Hospital from the impact site.
Alina remains in the hospital with severe injuries that require intensive specialized surgery. Injuries Include: broken shoulders, clavicle, shattered pelvis and hips, broken knee, and elbow. She just got transferred to Tampa Hospital and is scheduled for an Emergency Surgery.
Our hearts are broken. We are praying for her recovery and for the Lord to give comfort to our family.
If you would like to help cover any of the medical or funeral expenses, it would greatly help The Yarmak Family during their time of grief.

Update 10/19/24:
Alina, the 14-year-old sister, has undergone life-saving surgery.
She now has a metal bar stabilizing her pelvis and screws in her back,
which will need to remain for the next 6-8 weeks. Her injuries are severe, with her elbow, ankle, clavicle, and pelvis bearing the most damage.
Doctors acted quickly and caught a widening of her pelvis,
which could have been fatal if not addressed in time.
Alina’s recovery will be long and challenging.
She will be using a wheelchair and later a walker as she begins the journey to healing.
We continue to ask for prayers and support for this family as they face this difficult time.
Update 10/21/24
Parents had to break the heartbreaking news to Alina that her sister, Angelica, is gone. The emotional pain of losing her sister has only deepened the already immense physical pain she is enduring from her injuries. In this difficult time, her father and mother are comforting her, reminding her that Angelica is now with the Lord, and one day, they will be reunited again.
Please keep Alina in your prayers. She is going through a lot of pain, and her journey to recovery is just beginning.
Today, North Port High School students honored the memory of Angelica Yarmak by wearing blue, her favorite color. After school, many gathered at the site of the tragic accident on Dinsmore Street and E Price Blvd in North Port, Florida, to pay their respects and show their support for The Yarmak Family.
