Support the YSP Lebanon Team in Beirut- 56km Sponsored Walk

Hello, my name is Sophia and I am the director for YSP (Youth and Students for peace) UK. We are an NGO working to advance world peace by empowering youth and students to become global citizens through character education and peace projects supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

My journey with YSP however started in Beirut, Lebanon where I spent a few months last year volunteering with the team, and it quickly became a place that felt like home. It was so heartbreaking to see the situation for the citizens there who despite their circumstances continued to show so much love and positivity. However, now with increasing conflict in the Middle East the situation is becoming more dire and they need all the support they can get. As YSP UK we are hoping to raise money to support our sister team in Lebanon who are going out and offering support and supplies to displaced civilians and those in need.

As the core YSP UK team we are aiming to walk/ run a total of 56km, which is the average width of Lebanon, encompassing the team there in a ‘virtual hug’. We would also love it if other people would like to become involved and find their own sponsors too.
