Service Dog for Ollie #adogforOllie

Friends, family, Loving Angels in the world... We hope you are all doing well; we are writing today to ask for your support in a very important mission – to sponsor the placement of an assistance dog for Ollie!!! Yay!

So... many of you know and love our boy. But if you don’t, then know that Ollie is autistic and faces many challenges. He is nonverbal & full of cuddles, laughter and smiles. He tends to struggle with regulation and when he’s done being somewhere (like a playground in the GA heat) he heads for the exit at the drop of a dime. This is a big safety issue as he doesn’t understand he needs to leave with his parents or that a parking lot/street is a dangerous place with moving cars.

We, as a family, just recently cleared for the placement of a service dogs bred and trained to help us to meet Ollie’s social, emotional and educational goals. The cost reflects in the intensive and specific training each dog receives, along with the considerable therapeutic services they provide. Our dog will be picked and train specifically to meet Ollie’s needs and to help keep him safe, calm and regulated. And it warms this mommy’s heart to know he can cuddle aNd sleep with his best friend every night.
