Support Theresa Gross's Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
My name is Paul House and I am trying to raise funds to help a family with funeral expenses. These funds will go directly to the family to help pay for funeral expenses for Theresa (Terry) Inez Gross, born November 21, 1940, and moved on to eternity on August 18, 2024. She had 5 sons; David, Wayne, Steven, Chris, and Daryl. I did not know her personally, but I would like to share what her son, David Stokely, communicated to me.

David said, "I remember the story she used to tell me about herself as a young woman when she got to go to dances and she got to ride in the back of a car with a rumble seat. She also told me stories of riding in a covered wagon with her father and her mother. Terry later married Hugh Walter Stokley, over the course of time they had five boys David, Wayne, Steven, Chris, and Daryl.

Our Father was pretty much a rambling man and couldn't settle down to one place for most of our childhood until my mother put her foot down and made him finally buy a house in Houston, Texas. We were a poor family but my mom and dad always did their best to get the things that we needed, and no matter what, my mother stayed strong. When we were younger children she started to take us to church. My dad in the beginning did not want to go so we would walk to church, we looked like a mother duck with all of her ducklings following her down the road to the church that we attended. My mother made a lot of friends in church and was loved by all. As a family, we all became close with the minister and his family. As a matter of fact, I remember a lot of families that had children that we were friends with. Back in those days, churches used to have gatherings on the weekend. Church dinners, picnics on the ground, everybody would just pitch in and share their Sunday dinners with each other and then afterwards we would have gospel groups come to our church and sing which is something my mother seemed to love the most."

Those are very fond memories of her.

The small life insurance policy is not enough to cover all of the funeral expenses. The burial plot is a big expense.

Please search your heart for whatever gift you can contribute (large or small). It will be greatly appreciated by the family.
