Support this one-of-a-kind Selective Mutism Conference

Donation protected
As a parent of a child with Selective Mutism (SM), there were many unknowns and uncertainties. Information was hard to come by, research was hard to come by, and finding the right support was hard to come by. But through it all, our daughter has been able to overcome her SM. It took countless hours of my own research, connecting with other parents and professionals, and finding answers to the questions I needed to have answers for.

Now, as the owner of Selective Mutism H.E.L.P. (Home Educational Learning Program), I want to bring all the knowledge and life experience from our journey to those who need it, so they don't have to take the countless hours I took; they can get started right away.

This conference will be a way for parents, teachers, other practitioners, or those working through their own SM to come together to learn about the body's response to stress, anxiety, and trauma that may be holding them back. This is a one-of-a-kind conference in that it is offered both in-person and virtual, and lifetime access to the presentations is included! The key difference with this conference compared to other SM conferences is that it will focus on the physiological changes from anxiety instead of the psychological changes from anxiety—how to understand the feelings to help with the healing.

I will be co-hosting this conference with another parent of a child with SM who owns a small business helping children and teens with anxiety, SM, and trauma. This will be our second conference we are hosting together. We both put the income we earn back into our businesses similar to a non-profit, but aren't classified as non-profit organizations. This has been preventing us from getting corporate sponsorships, which is why I created this GoFundMe initiative. We are looking for support in financing the conference space and the speaker fees for this conference to be able to keep registration prices low for participants. If you believe in the work we are doing and the information we are sharing to improve the lives of others, we would be very grateful for any amount you would be able to donate towards this conference.
