# Support Thomas Roe & Family in Their Time of Need

We are reaching out to ask for your support for Thomas Roe and his family as they navigate an incredibly challenging time.

Many may not be aware of the hardships Thomas has been facing, as he is one of the most prideful and selfless individuals we know. He has always put others before himself, but now, he and his family need our help.

For years, Thomas and his wife struggled to conceive. After multiple attempts, they were finally blessed with a pregnancy, but their joy came with unforeseen medical complications. Frequent doctor visits became a part of their journey, requiring specialists and extensive care.

Amidst these challenges, Thomas received devastating news—he was diagnosed with cancer. This diagnosis meant even more hospital visits, treatments, and ultimately, a mandatory surgery. While he battled cancer, his pregnant wife was also in and out of the hospital, adding to their emotional and physical toll.

After spending days apart due to his surgery, Thomas was finally able to return home—only to face post-surgery complications that forced him back into the hospital. Once again, the family was separated during a time they needed each other the most.

Just as Thomas was recovering, it was time for his wife to give birth. Their beautiful daughter, Baby Roe, arrived but faced a serious health battle of her own, requiring emergency open-heart surgery. Thankfully, the procedure was successful, but her recovery journey in the NICU will be long, with Thomas and his wife by her side every step of the way.

Thomas has dedicated 23 years to serving the Newark Police Department, currently holding the rank of Captain. He has been a mentor, teacher, and leader, always willing to help others. Now, it is our turn to help him.
