Support Thomas's Recovery from Hate Crime
Donation protected
My husband, Thomas, was recently the victim of a brutal, unprovoked attack in Washington, D.C. The assault happened at the intersection of 14th and U Street, near a busy area he and so many others walk through daily. Thomas was attacked by a mob of 10-15 who used hateful, derogatory language targeting his identity as a gay man.
This horrific hate crime left him hospitalized overnight with deep emotional trauma.
While he’s recovering, we’re focused on helping him heal from the visible and unseen scars of this experience, ongoing recovery needs will continue to increase and any help to ensure he gets the care he needs to regain his health and peace of mind will be a blessing.
Thomas is a loving, compassionate person who did not deserve this, and no one in our community should face this kind of hatred. Any support you can give will directly fund his medical expenses and ongoing recovery treatments. We’re grateful for every donation, share, and word of encouragement as we work toward his healing.
