Support Those Impacted by a Fire in Occoquan
Donation protected
I am Eliot Perkins, Town Council Member, and next door neighbor to the residents of 116 Washington St in Occoquan.
On January 17th our Occoquan friends and neighbors at 116 Washington Street were enormously impacted by a fire. The blaze required 7 fire engines and associated other emergency vehicles and personnel to be dispatched to the 6 apartments. Fortunately, the 7 Occoquan residents (and their pets) were able to escape without physical injury. However, most if not all of their possessions are simply gone.
It is difficult for all of us to image losing everything we own and the place we call home all in a few hours. There are completely starting over without even the most basic needs. They will need to replace everything.
One of the best things about living in a small town like Occoquan is that we are all neighbors and we take care of each other. Please kindly donate to these members of our community to help them start over.
