Support those who are defending our rights!

Over 40 members on shift three at the Edmonton Mail Processing Plant have been issued an unjust 5-day suspension for using their right to complain. These members wanted to read a pre-written statement to address health and safety, and staffing issues to management and then return to work. Management refused to honour our legally binding collective agreement and denied our members this short moment. Instead, Canada Post has now issued 5-day suspensions. These members will suffer from financial hardship for defending our right to complain. Without that right all of our health and safety concerns, any violations of the collective agreement, and even the simplest complaint will have to be processed with a grievance. Most grievances already take years to resolve.
We are humbly asking you to help support the members who are being punished for defending our rights.
