Support Tim and Kathy's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On the evening of May 8th, Tim and Kathy Davies were involved in a very serious car accident.
While visiting Kathy’s oldest son in Pittsburgh, PA, another driver ran a red light and t-boned their car. Tim, Kathy, Joshua (Kathy’s oldest son), and his partner, Joanna, were all transported to the hospital in ambulances with various injuries.
Tim suffered a ruptured aorta and two fractures to his pelvis causing severe internal bleeding that required several immediate surgeries overnight. He also had a fist-sized puncture to his diaphragm, a broken rib, and numerous broken bones in his wrist and hand. Tim has spent several days on a ventilator in ICU and has had a total of 5 surgeries now to repair his various traumas.
Kathy was sitting in the seat that took the brunt of the impact and she is dealing with the effects of a now stabilized brain bleed, as well as 13 broken ribs and a broken sternum. She is now dealing with vision issues due to the head injury she sustained.
Kathy has been moved out of the ICU this week and moved to a rehab floor.
Tim just came off of the ventilator but remains in the ICU for the foreseeable future.
They both have a very long road to recovery ahead of them and are facing significant immediate costs, many of which will not be covered by insurance.
If you are in a position to offer financial assistance with costs of medical transportation back to North Carolina, long-term care, and potential modifications to their living situation to make it more accessible, they would greatly appreciate your donations.
Please continue to keep them both in your thoughts and prayers.
All donations will be transferred to Tim and Kathy's account, and will be used toward their medical expenses and care. Thank you so much!
