Support Tim Berg with his medical expenses!

On November 5th, Tim got a call from UPMC in Pittsburgh that they had a kidney and heart available for him. After doing various tests, they confirmed that the organs were a match, and he was set to get the transplants he was waiting for. On Sunday, November 6th, Tim went into surgery, and after 12 hours, the doctors confirmed that everything went great and he was doing well. Since then, Tim has started his recovery and is doing great. The recovery is expected to take up to 3 months. After Tim is discharged from the hospital, he will have to stay in Pittsburgh for 2 months to ensure that he is close enough in case something goes wrong and to help with the various doctor's appointments. We anticipate that it will cost anywhere from $4k to $5k just for the stay. He will also have considerable medical expenses that will need to be paid for and travel expenses for his wife and family.

As you may or may not know, in January 2020, Tim had a massive heart attack and was hospitalized for several months. After the heart attack, Tim's kidneys also stopped functioning. Tim had medicine pumping into his heart continuously and had to do daily dialysis to help drain the fluid from his body. Tim has been unable to work for the last two years due to his condition. This has been an enormous burden on him and his wife.

Tim is beyond excited at this new chance to live as he did before the heart attack. I am asking that you consider helping support Tim and his family with these expenses in hopes that once his recovery is completed, Tim can return to everyday life with his wife and his family!
