Support Timoteo Murphy's Road to Recovery

Early on Friday, June 7th, Timoteo and his fellow female artist friend visiting from Los Angeles, were in Dupont Circle in Washington, DC, sitting in the grass catching up on life and enjoying the beautiful evening when a large man started to approach them in an erratic and aggressive manner. The man was yelling at both of them, saying he was going to sexual assault his friend. The man then grabbed her by the hair and hit her forcefully in her private area. Timoteo grabbed his friend and pushed her behind him to prevent any further sexual assault. The man then came after Timoteo, lunging at him, wanting to fight. Timoteo punched and kicked the man backwards, which caused the man to stab his own self in the hand and stomach. Timoteo got the man in a headlock and almost had him choked out when the man pulled the knife from himself and began to use the weapon on Timoteo. Once Timoteo realized he was being stabbed, he pushed the man off of him, and the man retreated away from them, but the damage was done.
Luckily, Timoteo was able to be transported to a nearby hospital, and his injuries were treated. He has suffered a total 9 stab wounds; 3 in the upper thigh, 1 in the buttock, 1 in the mid back, and 4 in the neck; totaling in 60 stitches. The doctors are happy no major arteries were hit, but the amount of blood loss and possible nerve damage the attacker caused is overwhelming. Timoteo is in the very early stages to a long road of physical healing, as well as the emotional and psychological healing that will need to take place even after the physical injuries have healed. He will have to see a neurologist to examine the possible long-term damage in his left leg. In addition to the 60 stitches, Timoteo is now walking with a cane. Once the stab wounds are healed and stitches are out, he will have to attend physical therapy to ensure his ability to properly walk and hopefully be able to ride his bicycle again.
The attacker went to the same hospital that Timoteo was transported to, for medical attention to his own injuries. Timoteo's friend saw the man and was able to identify the attacker to authorities so he could be apprehended. Praise!
