Support Tina and Barrett After Brent's Passing

I am fundraising for my Daughter-in-Law and grandson to help with expenses related to my son's passing. My son died on 7/20/24 due to complications from COVID and post-COVID pneumonia and the damage to his transplanted lungs.

My son, Brent Snyder is 35, and has Cystic Fibrosis. Brent was diagnosed at 6 months old. At that time in 1989 I was told he would not live to see his teens because of this disease. Brent beat those odds. Once Brent got into his late teens early 20s Brent started getting sick way more often with a lot more hospitalizations and home IV treatments which damaged his lungs and required a double lung transplant in 2012. After 7 years his lungs started rejecting and could not be stopped which required a 2nd double lung transplant in 2019. Brent was able to get married to the love of his life, Tina and they had a precious little boy, Barrett who is now 8 month old.

Sometime in December 2023 or January 2024 Barrett got COVID we think from his pediatrician's office and both Brent and Tina also got it. Brent did not bounce back from it however and ended up with post COVID pneumonia and ended up in ICU and having difficulty breathing. He was in the hospital for 3 months straight. He was able to finally come home but was told that he would need a 3rd transplant. Due to the hospitalization and being unable to get out of the bed due to the state of his health, he developed atrophy in his legs and was unable to walk. He was working very hard to regain his ability to walk but continually had set backs with re-hospitalizations until his body just couldn't recover.

Tina is now a widow and a single mom which was not in their life plan. She has lost Brent's income and will need some help to cover some of the upcoming expenses. Her car is also messed up and in the shop due to a gas tank failure that has cause quite a bit of damage which was the main source of her income as she rents out her car.
