Support Titan Racing in Race 68 of the Purdue Grand Prix
Donation protected
We are Titan Racing and we are a collegiate racing team from Purdue University. We are members of the Titan Club in the First Street Towers Residence Hall.
Competing in the Purdue Grand Prix (PGP), we are expanding to two karts and crews this year teaching essential engineering and leadership skills. The Purdue Grand Prix is a student planned, run, and executed kart race that has been a Purdue tradition for nearly 70 years. 160 laps, 33 competitors and more than double trying to qualify. Last year, we qualified 2nd. Unfortunately, battling for the lead we suffered an engine failure. We take this, not as a failure, but as a learning opportunity as we grow our team. The race is unique in racing due to the specialized karts and focus on "students helping students". Our team contains members from two residence halls and from every corner of the US.
Our team actively mixes our experienced and new members into crews to teach through doing. Experience on the team comes from multiple years of Purdue Grand Prix racing and a PGP race win, members in IndyCar and IMSA, and competitors in karting across the country. We actively teach mechanics, engineering, data analytics, marketing, motorsports management, and more!
More than a race team though, as part of the Titan Club of Purdue, we host regular community building events around campus. We most of all serve the residents of First Street Towers. Residents enjoy game nights, watch parties, community dinners, and giveaways.
To compete in the races we do, to teach the skills that we do, and to engage with the community, takes resources. That's where you come in! With your donation, you can support student racing by helping us get essential equipment, consumables, and parts. Racing is costly but every small contribution counts. From tape and notepads to engines and the crew shirts we wear, your donation helps.
Support Student Racing, Education, and Community Building at Purdue this Season!
