Support TJ Jackson's Recovery Journey

Hello!

I’m Brittany Martinez, Timothy “TJ” Jackson’s daughter and most of know dad is in the hospital. On Tuesday June 25th 2024 TJ was rushed to the hospital with signs of a stroke. After being admitted to Sparrow’s ER and a plethera of tests, doctors ruled out a sroke. He was diagnosed with Sepsis from a UTI. Early Wednesday morning (June 26th) he went into Septic Shock. TJ’s body was shutting down with his Blood Pressure dropping to the 70s/30s. Along with his dropping BP he was disoriented, and experiencing tremendous lower back & hip pain. Doctors decided to transfer dad to Sparrow’s Medical ICU. After a few days in the MICU he was transferred to another floor. He started gaining strength working with physical therapist and occupational therepists and eventually will be transferred to either Sparrow’s Clinton County Transitional Care (Swing Bed), or home to his daughter and son in law’s home until he is strong enough to be at his house. He has been in the hospital for over 3 weeks now and is making progress!

We are putting together a benefit for our dad to help him financially since he's been in the hospital for a prolonged time. The benefit will be Sunday August 4th 2024 at The Causeway Bay Hotel in Lansing, MI. The benefit will run from 3:00pm-10:30pm with live music, a silent auction, and more!
