Support Toan Nguyen's Fight Against AML

Dear Family and Friends,

With heavy hearts, we share that our dear Toan Nguyen has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). This unexpected news has turned his and Christine’s world upside down, but if there’s one thing we all know about Toan—it’s that he is a fighter.

Toan begins his first round of chemotherapy on February 24, 2025, and will be placed on the bone marrow transplant list. He will continue treatment until a donor match is found. Thankfully, his insurance has approved him to receive advanced care at City of Hope, offering the best possible treatment for his recovery.

While Toan has Medicaid, we are currently uncertain about the full extent of coverage, especially concerning the bone marrow transplant. We have an appointment with the bone marrow specialist to clarify what expenses will be covered and identify any potential out-of-pocket costs.

In the meantime, the financial burden of City of Hope’s advanced medical care and daily living expenses is overwhelming. With the average cost of the initial treatment plan exceeding $200,000, we are aiming to reach our donation goal to help alleviate this financial strain.
