Dear Family and Friends,
On June 11, 2024, after a routine colonoscopy, Joe “Tobey” Bachicha Jr., was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. In the weeks since his initial diagnosis, we’ve learned the cancer has metastasized to his liver, abdominal lining, and lymph nodes. His diagnosis is now Stage IV Metastatic Colon Cancer.
Tobey has a daughter, Tauryn (17 yrs old), and a son, Tobey (22 yrs old). They are completely devastated to learn this news of their dad. Both have faith that he will overcome this.
Before Tobey’s diagnosis, you could find him climbing a 14er, in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, lifting weights, and spending time with his children. He is a devoted Christian and leans on his faith daily, finding comfort in God and His word.
The cancer is inoperable at this time. Upcoming treatment is both chemotherapy and radiation therapy. He will be unable to work while undergoing treatment.
With his diagnosis, the medical bills and expenses have began to flow in. Tobey is quickly becoming unable to work and is applying for short term disability and eventually long term disability. Although he has health insurance through his work, he has very high deductibles. Tobey still has to pay for his health insurance out of his disability to keep from losing it.
These next several months will be very physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially challenging for Tobey and his children. Tobey is praying that it will give him more time to spend with his family.
Tobey is asking for donations to assist with the financial challenges of treatment costs, transportation, and other unknowns associated with his diagnosis. Thank you for your time, your consideration, your prayers, and your donations. If you cannot donate, please say a prayer and share this GoFundMe!
