Chief Todd Warren’s Brain Tumor Recovery

Hi, I’m Todd’s son, Trevor Warren. And I’m asking for your financial support for my dad and family as we battle his brain tumor together.

3 weeks ago, an MRI identified a large mass in Todd’s brain, which doctors diagnosed as a Craniopharyngioma tumor. This is an incredibly rare tumor that, though benign, behaves just like cancer. Out of abundance of caution, we have rushed Dad to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where he will receive surgery on December 30 (if not sooner). Though he will be receiving the best of care, the seriousness of this tumor raises many uncertainties, including the possibility of mortality and morbidity. In addition, there are several increasing financial costs associated with medical care, travel, lodging, medication, etc. which are beginning to burden my parents. There is also a high possibility of additional costs after Dad’s surgery regarding his post-operative care. My mom is doing all she can to manage everything, but she herself has serious chronic health issues which make it difficult for her to provide additional financial support.

Though neither my dad nor my mom would ever ask for help themselves, I’m asking for them because they need it. Already, the financial toll on them is growing and I fear it will only continue to accumulate. It also comes at a time when all of us are still dealing with the sudden suicide of my grandfather several months ago. Because of all this, any financial support you can offer would be incredibly appreciated and ensure they are able to pay for the immediate financial demands associated with Dad’s medical care. At the very least, it will give them the peace of mind knowing that they will have the necessary resources and support to get through this difficult time, whatever financial uncertainties may exist.
