Support Tony's Journey: Caring for His Mom
Donation protected
Hi and thank you for reading. My name is Tony. In September 2024 I said goodbye to my home in New York and my wedding business, which had been sustaining me for 11 years. I moved to Florida to be full-time caregiver to my Mom who is now 81 and has stage IV cancer (breast/bone) and COPD. She was diagnosed the same month that the pandemic began; and because of both of those things my wedding business suffered a lot. People were afraid to gather which I get, and I chose to spend about 6 months a year here helping my Mom. At that time she had a lung catheter which my sister and I were trained in emptying. I never wanted to worry my Mom about my finances, but in 2024 I began to accumulate business debt for the first time in 11 years. I was unable to pay in full every month. My wedding business has not picked up here in Florida; there just isn't the customer volume compared to New York. I do need assistance getting over this current hump. I swore I would never go into credit card debt again. I will definitely pay this forward at every opportunity. Thank you very much for your help.
