Support Tori's Winter Dance Event in Asheville

Hi! I'm Tori and I own a local catering company in Asheville, NC. I created a bachata organization in Asheville to help expand this dance to the Asheville community. Over the past two years I have hosted a weekly dance event at Urban Orchard, a local cider company, and the dance community has grown tremendously. I have partnered with Uphora Dance Studio and we have brought talented artists from all over to help teach in Asheville. This dance community has grown close. We love that dance is excellent for health, both mentally and physically. It's a wholesome and fun activity and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to dance together regularly.

As most of you know, our city was hit with a major hurricane. We are a tourist city that operates on business during the fall season. This season was majorly impacted and many local businesses are struggling to rebuild. Before the hurricane I had a plan to bring Asheville's first winter weekender dance event to the area. I partnered with the Crowne Plaza hotel and reserved room blocks and scheduled dancers. We have dancers coming from Florida, New York, Mexico, Argentina, Japan, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

We are so excited to bring this to the area in hopes that it will generate local tourism at a time where we traditionally don't have a lot of business.

I am asking for support for this go fund me to help twofold. One - I would like to sponsor some dancers - funds can be used to make this event accessible to locals who have lost their homes or jobs in the storm and don't have the money to be able to join the event. We want to spark joy and we feel dancing does just that.

The second reason I am looking for support is to hire local talent. I would like to bring in local videographers, photographers, sound engineers, etc to help with putting on this excellent event.

Any dollar amount will help. There is no pressure for donation but just know we are grateful for anyone who wants to help. We also need volunteers to work the event and are open to any companies who would like to offer sponsorships to help. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
