For 25 years, Traci Baker has dedicated her life to shaping young minds as an elementary educator in the Miami-Dade Public Schools District. For the past 19 years at Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center, she has touched countless lives as both a first-grade inclusion teacher and regular first-grade teacher. Ms. Baker has been diagnosed with conventional osteosarcoma chondroblastic-type of the jawbone—a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Her treatment plan includes:
