Support Traci Baker's Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
For 25 years, Traci Baker has dedicated her life to shaping young minds as an elementary educator in the Miami-Dade Public Schools District. For the past 19 years at Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center, she has touched countless lives as both a first-grade inclusion teacher and regular first-grade teacher. Now, as she faces a serious health crisis, it's our turn to support her.
Ms. Baker has been diagnosed with conventional osteosarcoma chondroblastic-type of the jawbone—a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Her treatment plan includes:
Major jaw surgery
Temporary feeding tube placement
Multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation
As a single person whose sole income comes from teaching, Ms. Baker has had to take an indefinite medical leave, creating significant financial strain during this challenging time. She now faces:
Mounting medical bills
Daily living expenses
Extended recovery costs
Ongoing treatment expenses
For decades, Ms. Baker has poured her heart into educating and nurturing our community's children. Today, we're asking our community—colleagues, parents, former students, and neighbors—to rally behind her. Every donation, regardless of size, will help provide Ms. Baker with the financial support she needs to focus on her recovery.
100% of donations will go directly to Ms. Baker to cover her medical and living expenses during this difficult journey. Please share this campaign widely. Your generosity will allow this beloved educator to focus on healing while knowing her community stands behind her during this challenging journey.
Together, we can make this challenge easier for Ms. Baker by ensuring her focus remains on healing rather than financial worries.
