Support Tracie's Battle Against Cancer
Hello. My name is Brandon, and I am the oldest child of Tracie. We are raising funds to help pay for her breast cancer treatment. Just a couple of weeks ago, she was diagnosed with cancer, and the same day she was diagnosed, her insurance dropped her. We are fighting with Amazon to get her insurance back up and running, but it likely won't happen, and because of that, we are having to look into much more expensive coverage.
Shown below is a snippet from her diagnostic report. I'd show more but there is a lot of private information listed in this report that I do not want online for her own privacy.
This couldn't come at a worse time in her life, as she is currently recovering from major neck and back surgery, and her husband is about to undergo his own surgeries so will be unable to assist with a lot of her care. (When it rains, it pours.)
I do not like asking for help, but I do not know how we will get through all of this without the people like you who help complete strangers. Anything you can do, even if it's just sharing this with others, helps, and is deeply appreciated.
Our first big hurdle is raising $1000 in the next week (before July 5th) so that her insurance will temporarily extend coverage past her July 15th surgery date.
Thank you
update as of 7-1-24. Thanks to your kindness and support, we have raised enough funds to reinstate insurance long enough for her surgery!! I wish I could express our gratitude in ways larger than words, because words do not do it justice. Thankyou all so much
We ask that even if you cannot donate, please share this on your social media so it continues to spread, as we have many large expenses coming and will continue to need your support as my mom battles breast cancer.
Update 7-15-2
Surgery is complete. Now awaiting results. Looking at 5-7 weeks of radiation therapy, 5 days a week. With chemo to follow.
Update 7-27
radiation treatments start Monday 8-5. Keep my mom in your prayers as she begins the next stage and continues to deal with one insurance headache after another.
Please continue to share. This is where we will need all of the kind words of encouragement and support that can be managed
thank you again
update from Tracie Burger 8-13-2
At this time there is no other insurance option. We are so grateful for all of the help so far but still have a very long way to go. We are waiting on lab reports to continue with the treatment plan. We are crossing our fingers that no chemotherapy will be needed. We still need to raise the money for the Cobra premiums and copays for the radiation therapy and then the long road of medication therapy. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support.
