Please Help Support Tracy’s Pancreatic Cancer Journey

On February 20, 2025, my stepmother, Tracy Madonia, was diagnosed with Stage III pancreatic cancer, which turned my family's world upside down. Unfortunately, surgery is not a viable treatment option at this time. The tumor on the head of her pancreas is wrapped around a major blood vessel, making surgery impossible. She is scheduled to have the most aggressive form of chemotherapy treatment called Folfirinox, which will be administered once every two weeks for 6 months. Each session will last roughly 6 hours.

This type of chemotherapy is the most effective option for her case, but it also presents significant challenges due to severe side effects. She will undergo this treatment for six months, followed by another CT scan to assess the progress of the tumor shrinkage. The goal is for the chemotherapy to reduce the tumor size enough to permit surgical removal. If this is not successful, she may require additional chemotherapy or radiation therapy. She faces a very long and grueling journey ahead.

Tracy has always been dedicated to giving back to her community. She was a member of the Cranford Elks Lodge #2006, where she served as an officer for several years and organized fundraising drives for veterans and children with special needs. Tracy is the kind of person who would give anyone the shirt off her back and would gladly share her last dollar with someone in need. Unfortunately, she is now the one in need.

Dealing with the emotional and physical toll of pancreatic cancer is difficult enough. The financial burden of living costs, travel to Philadelphia, chemotherapy, medical treatments, and medications, even after insurance covers their part, has added significant stress to her already challenging journey. We have no idea how long she will be out of work while fighting this battle.

Every share or donation, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to ensuring that she can focus on her health and well-being without worrying about financial strain.

We are immensely grateful for your love, support, and prayers during this challenging time.

With heartfelt gratitude from her children,
Anthony Madonia, Lisamarie Husta, and Michael Ciaglia, Jr.
