Help My Dad Tracy Manning After The Fire

I’m writing this fundraiser on behalf of my dad, Tracy Manning. My dad is a musician, an incredible cook, and one of the most important people in my life. He had just moved back to Taos, New Mexico six weeks ago. He had been living in Texas for the past few years taking care of my Grandmother, who we lost to Covid earlier this year.

 

On Thursday, September 30th my dad’s apartment burned due to an electrical fire. He wasn’t at home at the time, and luckily he is uninjured. He did lose almost all of his possessions and personal belongings, including his guitar collection, amplifiers and effects. Most cherished of these was his 1981 Les Paul Studio Series. If any of you know my dad, or any musician for that matter, you can understand how difficult it is to lose the belongings that allow one to express oneself. My dad’s music has been a staple in my life, and it is really hard to think about him losing his instruments. But what makes this most difficult is that he’s lost his home.

 

Finding a place to rent in Taos has become exceedingly difficult and we are asking for money to help my dad stay in a hotel until he can find more stable housing, as well as money to begin to rebuild his music collection. Many of the items he lost are irreplaceable, but my dad is just trying to move forward, and find a new place to live. Any amount you can donate or share with him is greatly appreciated.
