Support Trans Youth at the FL Capitol Day

Trans+ Youth at the Florida Capitol Day is a gathering of transgender, non-binary, intersex and gender non-conforming youth and their parents, guardians and/or chaperones from across Florida with the purpose of elevating transgender youth in civic leadership and engagement with policy decisions and policymakers that impact their safety, health, well-being and success. A first of its kind in Florida, this event will make citizen advocacy accessible to trans+ youth. help them tell their stories directly to the legislators that make decisions about their lives and welfare, and allow them to associate with other transgender youth interested in leadership and civic engagement across the state.

The event is hosted by Florida's leading trans-led all volunteer advocacy organization, the Florida Coalition for Transgender Liberation (Florida Center for Fiscal and Economic Policy is our fiscal sponsor) and we literally have no money of our own and must fundraise every penny to make this happen. Your support counts as transgender issues and support for transgender youth leadership and civics engagement is extremely underfunded in Florida and the nation. Every dollar you give today counts to help us pay for lodging, food and transportation so trans youth and their parents and/or chaprones can participate in this life changing event.

The event is in February. Dates are being withheld in this public fundraiser to protect the children fron organized hate groups on the day of the event.
