Help support Travis in his medical journey

Hi Family, Friends & Kind Strangers,
My name is Sally, as some of you know in November of 2018 my cousin Travis Rau suffered a major stroke. It forever changed his life, and the lives of his family. He had to learn to walk and talk again. His vision, mobility, & brain were drastically effected. He has been in and out of surgery and rehab in the years since. This has all placed a big financial burden on his mom, Carrie, as she is his main care taker and support. The most recent in these battles has taken them to Spokane, once again, for brain surgery, and this won't be the last surgery or medical travel the pair will have to tackle. Just in this most recent instance, Carrie has had to miss two weeks of work to be by Travis' side in Spokane, having to take on the cost all that entails: hotel, gas, eating out, none of which is covered by insurance, none of which can be avoided. Carrie has not wanted to reach out to family and friends in this manner to ask for help, but the financial burden is becoming harder & harder to bear, and when I offered to create a go fund me, she reluctantly agreed.
Trav has truly been through it and this last surgery and the surgeries to follow are very risky and success is not guaranteed. He was headed back to Kalispell yesterday to enter a rehab facility, once again, to re-re-learn how to walk, as this most recent unsuccessful brain surgery robbed him of that again.
Trav and Carrie have been on this arduous road for many years, held up by the emotional love and support of family and friends. I'm hoping we can support them in this way too, relieving a little of the stress and financial pressure all the travel and missed work places on this family. I know my goal is lofty, but I think we can do it! Thank you for whatever you can do, we are seriously grateful! Love to you all!!!
