Hi reaching out to loving family, friends and colleagues.
As some of you may already know, Trey, 14 years old, started experiencing symptoms that were affecting his vision which came to light while playing centerfield on his baseball team. He was experience double vision and had difficulty seeing the ball. His parents Corinne and Eric took him to an eye specialist who recommended an MRI which revealed a mass at the base of his brain. He was admitted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital and surgery was scheduled the following morning. Although the surgeons were able to remove the tumor, Trey has a long road to recovery including Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy. He will remain in PCH throughout his treatment which will include radiation and chemo therapy.
Trey is a super kid well liked by his friends and team mates who look forward to and support in him returning to his team. His bravery and sense of humor is inspiring in spite of the tough road ahead. Trey is the third of four brothers and two dogs that miss him at home. Trey’s Dad is a former NYPD sergeant and 911 first responder. He currently works as a Phoenix PD officer. Corinne is a stay at home mom trying to juggle the needs of her family and support and remain at Trey’s bedside.
Please consider helping out the Cuevas family with medical and unplanned medical expenses as they work through the difficult journey.
