Support Tricia Treloar’s double lung transplant!

Hi, I’m starting this account to help raise money for Tricia Treloar to use for medical and family expenses while waiting and receiving a double lung transplant! For the past 8 months, Tricia has been in and out of the hospital. After having hip surgery in October, she developed double pneumonia. When she didn’t improve, she was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. This is a terminal disease that has left her in a wheelchair and on high flow oxygen 24 hours a day. She was referred to the transplant team at UAB. After a month of extensive testing, they found a leak in a heart valve resulting in pulmonary hypertension. Thankfully, the medical team thinks this can be controlled with medication and that it is still safe to go forward with the transplant.

Tricia is now on the lung transplant list and is in a room at UAB waiting on two healthy lungs. She could be waiting two more days or two years, but she is on such a high amount of oxygen that she will remain in the hospital until the transplant. Of course, Tricia has been unable to work and her husband Jeff is not working and he is staying by her side through everything. This puts a major strain on finances. Jeff sleeps on an air mattress in Tricia’s hospital room and must pay to park and eat out three meals a day. Then they have regular monthly bills plus gas, meds, etc. They also have a son, Webster, that will be a senior at LHS this year and will have all the senior things to pay for while his mom is in the hospital in another state.

Please pray that a donor is found for Tricia! Please pray that God gives her peace and the understanding that her gift of life comes at the end of someone else’s life. Please pray for strength for all of her family!! Tricia has always been there to help anyone out and now is our chance to be able to relieve a little of the stress from Tricia and her family!
