Support Troutman Family by Covering Medical bills

Hi Everyone,

 

Our friend Alex Troutman and his family are mourning the death of his brother, Van Troutman III (pictured on the left), after his battle with cancer. The medical bills from Van's care over the past several years are now a financial weight that the Troutman family is carrying in addition to mourning the loss of their son and brother.

 

Alex is a beloved member of the Black in Science community, and has continued to be unbelievably supportive of the efforts of Black in X weeks, such as Black Birders Week and Black in Marine Science Week, even in the midst of his brother’s rapidly declining health over the past several months. Please consider supporting our brother and friend Alex and his family, and help alleviate one burden that they carrying as they navigate this painful loss.
