Support Troy to battle Bone Cancer

This is Troy Harvey,

He’s currently in Brisbane receiving treatment for Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer) in his knee. He’s fighting through making light of how he can get different tattoo wraps for his prosthetic.

He is looking at the next year of treatment and rehab living permanently in Brissy as Chemo can take quite the toll on your body.

He is such an incredible Dad to Three year old Brooklyn, pictured with her besotted Dad above . He is such a hands on Dad and the best co-parent anyone could ask for, we are often told how great we are doing and how we could write a book about it. Our extended family’s main focus is Troys health, he has all the medical fee’s covered however mental health is key to him doing well throughout this journey, our goal is to have Brooklyn to Brisbane as often as she can providing she is also well enough to visit as the common cold can be fatal when the immune system is so low.

Troy has worked passionately in the disability industry for the last 9 years, in October 2020 he launched Thriving Horizons, he wanted to see a change in the industry and decided to ‘Be the change’.

The Social nights were to created to foster connection for his community, it brought together old and new friends and provided something fun and safe for the disability community to be apart of. He hired halls, brought sound and lighting gear, themed out every event, provided activities and canteen as an Independent Support Worker. A guy with a vision and a really great group of friends and family behind him.

Troy is an outstanding guy, he loves empowering others to be there best, will give you the shirt off his back kinda guy, when at gigs or night outs he spends all his time looking out for others, I have so many stories

His community has already shown him so much love and support and it has been surreal to feel the community spirit around him. I would like to open the opportunity for donations to help Troy with expenses over the next year.
